Martin Desiderati

Born in 1974, Martin Desiderati is a mixed Italian South African artist living and working in Cape Town. His practice explores memory, identity and emotional attachment through drawing, sculpture and material transformation.

His lifelong fascination with pareidolia invites us to look beyond the surface: to find figures in fragments, and meaning in the everyday.

Through ceramics, graphite drawings and sculpture, The Unseen Bond explores nurture, care and the relationships that shape us.
